Charitable objects
THE BENEFIT OF BOYS AND GIRLS RESIDENT IN THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF FINSBURY WITH PREFERENCE FOR THOSE RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF ST. LUKE, OLD STREET AND WHO, IN THE OPINION OF THE GOVERNORS ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BY WAY OF:- (1) THE AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER PLACE OF LEARNING, (2) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, OUTFITS, CLOTHING, INSTRUMENTS OR BOOKS TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES ON LEAVING SCHOOL, A UNIVERSITY OR ANY OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT TO PREPARE FOR OR TO ASSIST THEIR ENTRY INTO A PROFESSION TRADE OR CALLING. (3) THE AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES TO TRAVEL ABROAD TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION. (4) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING FOR RECREATION AND SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING FOR BENEFICIARIES WHO ARE RECEIVING PRIMARY, SECONDARY OR FURTHER EDUCATION. (5) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO BENEFICIARIES TO STUDY MUSIC OR OTHER ARTS.
