Charitable objects
TO ENCOURAGE FOSTER ASSIST AND PROMOTE BY CHARITABLE MEANS THE FULFILMENT OF ANY OBJECT WHICH IS BOTH CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL. FOR THE PURPOSE OF CARRYING OUT THE ABOVE OBJECTS BUT NOT OTHERWISE THE SOCIETY SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING POWERS: IN ORDER TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AT THE COURTAULD INSTITUTE OF ART TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS AND EXHIBITIONS AND TO MAKE GRANTS (WHETHER FOR TRAVEL STUDY OR OTHERWISE) AND OTHER ALLOWANCES TO ANY STUDENT (INCLUDING PROSPECTIVE AND PAST STUDENTS) OF ANY DEPARTMENT OF THE COURTAULD INSTITUTE AND TO ANY PERSON ENGAGED WHETHER ON A FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME BASIS BY ANY DEPARTMENT OF THE COURTAULD INSTITUTE.
