TO GIVE FINANCIAL AID TO CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA AND THE DESCENDANTS OF SUCH CITIZENS, WITHOUT RACIAL COLOUR OR RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION, TO ASSIST THEM IN STUDYING OR BEING EDUCATED IN A UNIVERSITY OR LIKE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR SUCH OTHER COUNTRIES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DEEM DESIRABLE, AND IN MEDICINE OR PSYCHOLOGICAL MEDICINE OR SUCH OTHER FACULTY OR BRANCH OF EDUCATION AS THE TRUSTEES DEEM FIT.
