Charitable objects

TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN MIDWIFERY AND SPREAD KNOWLEDGE OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MIDWIFERY WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE STANDARD OF CARE PROVIDED TO MOTHERS AND BABIES AND THE FAMILY, THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD; TO SUPPORT AND ADVISE, WHEN REQUIRED, ASSOCIATIONS OF MIDWIVES IN LIAISON WITH THEIR GOVERNMENTS; TO ADVANCE THE PROVISION OF MATERNITY CARE AND TO DEVELOP THE ROLE OF THE MIDWIFE AS A PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONER IN HER OWN RIGHT.
