Charitable objects
(I) TO PRESERVE, OPERATE AND EXHIBIT FOR THE PUBLIC FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES LOCOMOTIVES OF HISTORIC OR SCIENTIFIC IMPORTANCE ACQUIRED BY OR LEASED OR OTHERWISE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE ASSOCIATION AND IN PARTICULAR THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE KNOWN AS "THE EX. LONDON AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY CLASS B1 LOCOMOTIVE NO. 1264". (II) TO AFFORD TO THE PUBLIC FACILITIES FOR THE STUDY OF STEAM LOCOMOTIVES AND ROLLINGSTOCK DESIGNED BY EDWARD THOMPSON.
