(I) TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE INCLUDING PROVISION OF DOMESTIC PETS AS A THERAPEUTIC AID TO PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED THEREOF BY REASON OF YOUTH, OLD AGE OR PHYSICAL OR MENTAL HANDICAP OR ILLNESS (II) TO RESCUE AND PROVIDE CARE AND SHELTER FOR SICK, UNWANTED, NEGLECTED OR ABANDONED ANIMALS WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO ANIMALS IN THE COUNTRY OF ISRAEL (II) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF ANIMAL LIFE AND IN PARTICULAR TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE USE OF AUDIO-VISUAL TECHNIQUES AS A MEANS OF EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT ANIMAL LIFE IN THE WILD AND (IV) TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF RELIABLE AND ECONOMICAL METHODS OF METHODS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WHICH DO NOT REQUIRE THE USE OF LABORATORY ANIMALS AND TO PROMOTE EFFECTIVE METHODS OF AVOIDING ANY UNNECESARY DUPLICATION OF EXPERIMENTS USING LABOROTARY ANIMALS.
