TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM DERMATOMYOSITIS AND POLYMYOSITIS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE MEDICAL RESEARCH INTO THE SEARCH FOR A CURE FOR AND FOR BETTER TREATMENT OF THE DISEASES INCLUDING THE PROVISON OF FUNDS AND EQUIPMENT TO SUFFERERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND TO MEDICAL RESEARCH.
