1) TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN MERSEYSIDE OF ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE DIRECTED TO ALLEVIATING THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THROUGH DEATH RESULTING FROM MURDER, MANSLAUGHTER OR UNLAWFUL KILLING THEIR CHILD OR CHILDREN OR CLOSE RELATIVE OR FRIEND AND IN PARTICULAR THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF GOOD HEALTH BOTH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL, THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND SICKNESS AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN MATTERS RELATING TO THE NATURE OF GRIEVING AND BEREAVEMENT; 2) TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT RESEARCH INTO THE EFFECTS ON SOCIETY OF MURDER, MANSLAUGHTER AND UNLAWFUL KILLING AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC
