Charitable objects
THE PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY DEVELOPING A GREATER SENSE OF AWARENESS OF THE LIFE AND WORK OF GEORGE ROMNEY AND HIS CONTEMPORARIES, TO EXPLORE THE ART AND CULTURE OF THE SOCIETY IN WHICH HE LIVED AND TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE ARTS OF THE 18TH CENTURY.
