(1) TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE REPAIR RENOVATION RESTORATION REBUILDING AND GENERAL PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF BUILDINGS (INCLUDING ANY BUILDING AS DEFINED IN SECTION 1 (5) OF THE PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990) OF PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE, BEAUTY, ARCHAEOLOGICAL, HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL OR CONSTRUCTIONAL INTEREST; AND (2) TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE GENERAL PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF LAND (INCLUDING GARDENS AND LANDSCAPES) OF PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE, BEAUTY OR HISTORICAL INTEREST.
