Charitable objects
1 TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF NEWHAVEN AND DISTRICT, COMPRISING VALLEY, MEECHING, EAST SIDE AND DENTON WARDS, AND PARISHES OF SOUTH HEIGHTON AND PIDDINGHOE, ( HEREINAFTER CALLED ' THE AREA OF BENEFIT') WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THOSE LIVING AND WORKING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS, THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION , AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION: 2. TO ESTABLISH AND SECURE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF NEWHAVEN DISTRICT, A COMMUNITY CENTRE (HEREINAFTER CALLED ' THE CENTRE') , AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE SAME (WHETHER ALONE OR IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSONS OR ORGANISATIONS) .
