FOR THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND FOR THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FREE CHIROPODY OR PODIATRY TREATMENT FOR PERSONS WHO ARE 60 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER AND IN PARTICULAR SUCH PERSONS WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PAY FOR PRIVATE TREATMENT PROVIDED THAT IN SO DOING THE TRUSTEES SHALL NOT RELIEVE THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE OR ANY LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITY OF ANY OF ITS STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS TO PROVIDE SUCH TREATMENT.
