DEED is a Global Education Centre and a member of the Consortium of Development Education Centres (CoDEC). DEED aims to develop a better understanding of global issues and cultural diversity to help create a more just, fair and sustainable world. We work in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole (BCP) and Dorset with local organisations including schools and community groups.

DEED IS ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN, IMPROVE AND ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION PARTICULARLY BY THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION IN WORLD PROBLEMS OF HUNGER, DISEASE, POVERTY AND IGNORANCE AND THE SOLUTIONS THEREOF AND THE ECONOMIC AND OTHER PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPING COUNTRIES AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER COUNTRIES WHOSE ECONOMIES ARE BETTER ADVANCED AND DEVELOPED HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION". NOTHING IN THIS MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEES INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005
