1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION IN JOURNALISM OF UNEMPLOYED AFRICANS IN THE UK BY DEVELOPING TRAINING PROGRAMMES AND BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS WHERE NECESSARY; 2. TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY OF JOURNALISTS IN AFRICA WHO ARE IN NEED BY THE PROVISION OF THE BASIC NECESSITIES FO LIFE.
