BASE33, THE WORKING NAME OF THE TRUST, WORKS WITH ALL YOUNG PEOPLE, BUT HAS BEEN PARTICULARLY SUCCESSFUL WITH SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND HARD TO REACH TEENAGERS. IT OPERATES DETACHED YOUTH WORK, EVENING DROP-INS AND OFFSITE ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL SUPPLY ALONG WITH OTHER ADVICE AND EVENTS TO CHALLENGE AND INVOLVE THE YOUNG PEOPLE. IN 2008 BASE33 WAS AWARDED THE QUEEN'S AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE.
