TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF CORNFORTH AND SURROUNDING AREAS IN COUNTY DURHAM, IN PARTICULAR TO RELIEVE POVERTY, ADVANCE EDUCATION, PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION AND TO PROTECT AND IMPROVE THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SAID PERSONS.
