1. TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND DISTRESS AND SUFFERING CAUSED BY FAMINE AND HOUSEHOLD FOOD INSECURITY IN AFRICA IN GENERAL AND IN THE WEST SHOA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION IN ETHIOPIA IN PARTICULAR; 2. TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES TO THE YOUTH, THE OLD AND THE DISABLED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN A SITUATION OF POVERTY; 3. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING BY PROVIDING GRANTS FOR PEOPLE FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS; 4. TO PROVIDE CLEAN DRINKING WATER TO PEOPLE TO PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH; 5. TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE RELIEF OF LEPERS AND THE SICK WHO MAY BECOME HOMELESS;
