Activities - how the charity spends its money
To provide grants to promote education (including social and physical training) to persons under 25 years of age who, or their parents, are residents of Diss and attended at any time a school in Diss or the neighbourhood. The Trustees will also support small business start ups to assist young people in their chosen career and provide funding to organisations involved in youth work locally.

Charitable objects
PROVIDING SUCH SPECIAL BENEFITS OF ANY KIND NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY AT THE DISS COUNTY HIGH COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL ON THE FORMER SECONDARY MODERN SCHOOL SITE, AND SUBJECT THERETO, FOR SUCH SPECIAL BENEFITS AT ANY OTHER MAINTAINED SECONDARY SCHOOL SERVING OR SUBSTANTIALLY SERVING DISS AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF. (2) SUBJECT THERETO IN PROMOTING THE EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING) OF PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS WHO OR WHOSE PARENTS ARE RESIDENT IN DISS OR THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF AND HAVE AT ANY TIME ATTENDED AT A SCHOOL IN DISS OR THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF AND WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING- (A) IN AWARDING TO SUCH PERSONS SCHOLARSHIPS, EXHIBITIONS, BURSARIES, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, OR OTHER INSTITUTION OF FURTHER (INCLUDING PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL) EDUCATION APPROVED FOR THE PURPOSE BY THE TRUSTEES; (B) IN PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, OUTFITS, CLOTHING, TOOLS, INSTRUMENTS OR BOOKS TO ASSIST SUCH PERSONS TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION (INCLUDING THE STUDY OF MUSIC AND OTHER ARTS), TO UNDERTAKE TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE THEREOF, OR TO PREPARE FOR OR ENTER A PROFESSION, TRADE, OCCUPATION OR SERVICE ON LEAVING SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY, OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT.
