Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Trust supports activities that could directly contribute towards the conservation of biodiversity in the areas in which Operation Wallacea work. In the last year the Trust have funded a Postdoc to complete an application for the Cusuco National Park and surrounding areas to be funded under the Natural Forest Standard scheme. Over 1000 schools worldwide have been introduced to the WRL data sets

TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, RESEARCH INTO THE TERRESTRIAL AND MARINE HABITAT, PRIMARILY BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE BIOGEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF INDONESIA KNOWN AS THE WALLACEA REGION AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH; TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN RELATION TO THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF MARINE AND TERRESTRIAL NATURAL RESOURCES AND TO ENCOURAGE SUPPORT AND CAUSE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMMES PROMOTING THE SAME; SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
