TO PROMOTE THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL BY PROVIDING A FORUM WITHIN THE U.K. FOR PRESENTING, DEBATING AND DISSEMINATING THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CONCERNING EXPLOSIONS AND THEIR EFFECTS, AND THEREBY IMPROVING THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC AND WORKERS IN INDUSTRY AND ANY OTHERS WHO MIGHT BE EXPOSED TO THE EFFECTS OF AN ACCIDENTAL EXPLOSION
