Charitable objects

THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY AS FOLLOWS: (1) UP TO 20% OF THE SAID INCOME SHALL BE APPLIED FOR THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT; AND (2) THE REMAINING INCOME SHALL BE APPLIED FOR THE RELIEF OF PERSONS , INCLUDING WIDOWS, RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS, EITHER IN GIFTS IN KIND OR GRANTS OF MONEY WHICH MAY INCLUDE GRANTS TO ANY ALMSHOUSE OR OTHER CHARITABLE INSTITUTION ESTABLISHED FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS.
