Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE THE FOLLOWING CHARITABLE PURPOSES WITHIN THAT PART OF THE BOROUGH OF SOUTHEND COMPRISED IN THE COUNCIL WARD KNOWN AS MILTON WARD BY:- (I) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS; (II) THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH; (III) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND LEARNING INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING AMONG INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT; (IV) THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE ARTS; (V) THE PROVISION OF OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (VI) THE PROMOTION OF HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT; (VII) THE SECURING OF THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE INHABITANTS AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD IN WHICH THEY LIVE.
