Activities - how the charity spends its money
Sound Advice Cumbria operates a drop in resource centre which:- supplies advice to the hearing impaired on any difficulties they may have, is equipped with many aids, which are not for sale but callers can try at no cost and with no pressure, also distributes hearing aid batteries on behalf of NHS.

Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF PEOPLE WHO ARE DEAF OR HEARING IMPAIRED LIVING IN CUMBRIA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY (I) PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE TO THE DEAF AND ALL THOSE WHOSE HEARING IS IMPAIRED (II) PROMOTING AWARENESS OF TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT AND OTHER HELP AVAILABLE (III) PROMOTING SOCIAL ACTIVITY FOR MEMBERS (IV) PROMOTING DEAF AWARENESS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC (V) HELPING TO PREVENT ISOLATION IN SOCIETY (VI) UPHOLDING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND WORKING FOR GOOD RELATIONS AMONGST ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY
