TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN, AND TO PROMOTE THEIR APPRECIATION OF MUSIC AND ART IN PARTICULAR BY THE HOLDING OF EVENTS WITHIN THE PARISH OF MAYFIELD INCLUDING THE RUNNING OF THE BIENNIAL CLASSIC MUSIC FESTIVAL KNOWN AS MAYFIELD FESTIVAL OF MUSIC AND THE ARTS.
