TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL MATERS RELATING TO THE PROTECTION OF THE RIVER THAMES AND THE DEFENCE OF THE REALM BY THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A COLLECTION OF ITEMS OF HISTORIC VALUE BOTH LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY.
