Charitable objects
TO BRING ABOUT IMPROVEMENTS IN THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PERSONS IN SALISBURY AND THE DISTRICT THEREOF WHO ARE RECOVERING FROM, OR IN TREATMENT FOR, A MENTAL ILLNESS OR WHO HAVE A PHYSICAL OR LEARNING DISABILITY AND ANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS OF THAT NATURE IN SALISBURY AND THE DISTRICT THEREOF. IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, THE CHARITY WILL: PROMOTE SOCIAL AND LEISURE OPPORTUNITIES, ENCOURAGE SUCH PERSONS TO PURSUE THEIR SOCIAL AND LEISURE INTERESTS NOT ONLY IN THE CENTRE BUT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, ENABLE SUCH PERSONS TO TAKE ON RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE CENTRE AND THE COMMUNITY IF THEY SO DESIRE AND AS IS APPROPRIATE, PROVIDE SUCH SUPPORT AND COUNSELLING AS IS NECESSARY TO ENABLE SUCH PERSONS TO OVERCOME SOCIAL EXCLUSION.
