Yewdale Community Centre was opened on 14th February 1992. It is situated between Sandsfield Park and Morton estate in the west of Carlisle. The Centre has a sports hall and a lounge together with a recently added building which is used as a pre-school nursery for children aged 3 to 5 years of age. We are currently registered with Ofsted for 26 children in our nursery and a further 20 in our playg

A. TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE, POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.
