FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF ST IVES AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN PARTICULAR FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED BY REASON OF AGE, DISABILITY OR SICKNESS IN TH INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
