MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 21ST FEBRUARY 2000 AND AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION OF 18TH OCTOBER 2000
Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE ALL OR ANY PURPOSE WHICH IS CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO ENGLISH LAW AND WHICH WILL BENEFIT THE INHABITANTS OF THE KING'S CROSS AND BRUNSWICK ELECTORAL WARDS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CAMDEN (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT" WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING): (A) BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS; (B) TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMUNITY CENTRES (CURRENTLY THE MARCHMONT COMMUNITY CENTRE AND THE CHADSWELL HEALTHY LIVING CENTRE) AND TO MANAGE THE SAME (WHETHER ALONE OF IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY) IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS; (C) TO RELIEVE ELDERLY, SICK OR DISABLED INHABITANTS IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT; (D) TO RELIEVE ELDERLY PERSONS IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT; (E) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID INHABITANTS; (F) TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
