THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY:- (1) THE PROVISION OF COURSES AND THE TUITION OF BRITISH AND OVERSEAS STUDENTS FOR EXAMINATIONS LEADING TO ENTRY TO UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES OF FURTHER EDUCATION AND TO PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, (2) THE TEACHING OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE, INCLUDING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND OTHER SUBJECTS, (3) THE ORGANISATION OF TEACHER TRAINING COURSES AND PROGRAMMES FOR BRITISH AND OVERSEAS LANGUAGE TEACHERS, (4) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR BRITISH AND OVERSEAS STUDENTS INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF ACCOMMODATION, AND (5) THE UNDERTAKING OF RESEARCH IN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF APPROPRIATE TEACHING MATERIALS AND THE DISSEMINATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.
