SCHEME OF THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS DATED 27TH JULY 1923, AS VARIED BY SCHEME DATED 11TH JANUARY 1952.
Charitable objects
A BUILDING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF HIGH HALSTOW AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF, IN ANY ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS:- (A) AS A PLACE FOR PATRIOTIC, CHARITABLE, RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL OR OTHER MEETINGS OR CONFERENCES, AND FOR CONCERTS, LECTURES, ENTERTAINMENT, GAMES, COMPETITIONS, EXHIBITIONS, DANCES, THEATRICALS AND OTHER SOCIAL GATHERINGS; (B) AS A MEN'S CLUB AND GENERALLY AS A PLACE OF MEETING AND RECREATION FOR SOCIAL CLUBS FOR PERSONS OF ANY SEX, AGE OR CLASS; (C) AS A READING ROOM, LENDING LIBRARY OR MUSEUM; (D) AS A PLACE OF MEETING FOR COMMITTEES, GUILDS, SOCIETIES OR CLASSES; (D) AS A PLACE OF MEETING FOR COMMITTEES, GUILDS, SOCIETIES OR CLASSES; (E) AS A PLACE FOR SECONDARY OR HIGHER EDUCATION OF EVERY KIND, WHETHER RELIGIOUS OR SECULAR; (F) AS A DRILL HALL AND MINIATURE RIFLE RANGE OR AS A PLACE OF RECREATION AND EXERCISE FOR VOLUNTEERS, CADETS, SCOUTS, GUIDES OR THE BODIES ENGAGED IN MILITARY TRAINING OR OTHER PATRIOTIC EXERCISES AND UNDERTAKINGS; (G) FOR ANY OTHER OBJECTS, ENDS AND PURPOSES HAVING IN VIEW THE SPIRITUAL, MORAL, INTELLECTUAL OR SOCIAL WANTS OF THE SAID INHABITANTS AS THE COMMITTEE MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
