1) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH AND TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WHO HAVE COMMUNICATION DIFFICULTIES PARTICULARLY BY ASSISTING OR ENCOURAGING PERSONS USING ALTERNATIVE AND AUGMENTATIVE COMMUNICATION (AAC) WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM TO ACHIEVE THEIR COMMUNICATION POTENTIAL, AND TO MAKE PROVISIONS OR PROMOTE ANY SCHEME THOUGHT NECESSARY TO MEET THIS AIM 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, TO INCREASE THEIR AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF AAC
