Using its specially designed shoeboxes the charity provides an all year round service for people in Britain and Ireland wishing to make gifts to people in Eastern Europe. The people who receive the shoeboxes are chosen by the charity solely on humanitarian grounds.

(A) TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS AMONGST THOSE PERSONS IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE BY THE SUPPLY, TRANSPORT AND DISTRIBUTION OF HUMANITARIAN AID IN THE FORM OF SHOE BOXES FILLED WITH SUCH ITEMS AS ARE REQUIRED FROM TIME TO TIME AND (B) TO SUCH CHARITY OR CHARITIES OR FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSE OR PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE.
