The purpose of the Fund is to help the youth of Shipley Parish to develop talents which they would have difficulty in financing themselves. Those eligible are those under 25 who live in the Ecclesiastical Parish of Shipley or who are, or have been pupils at Shipley Primary School, William Penn School in Cooham, or are current or past Scouts or Explorer Scouts in the 1st Shipley Scout Group.

Charitable objects

THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE TRUST FUND AND ITS INCOME UPON TRUST TO APPLY THEM FOR THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS") IN THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF SHIPLEY IN THE DISTRICT OF HORSHAM IN THE COUNTY OF WEST SUSSEX. (A) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF SHIPLEY OR WHO ARE OR WHO HAVE BEEN PUPILS AT SHIPLEY CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL BY PROVIDING THEM WITH GRANTS OR OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT; AND (B) TO RELIEVE PARENTS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP BY PROVIDING THEM WITH GRANTS OR OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO BE USED TO PAY TOWARDS THE COST OF FURTHERING THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR CHILD OR CHILDREN.
