FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THEIR HEALTH, ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT AND RELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY ARE SICK BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND OTHER ITEMS AT THE BEDFORDSHIRE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE AND OTHERWISE ASSISTING IN THE WORK OF THE CENTRE PROVIDED THAT IN SO DOING THE CHARITY SHALL NOT RELIEVE THE LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITY OR ANY OTHER STATUTORY BODY OF ITS STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS.
