THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS") ARE: TO FURTHER SUCH GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF MEMBERS OF THE AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN COMMUNITY IN BEDFORD AND THE ADJOINING AREAS (THE "MEMBERS") AS THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING, BY: 1. PROVIDING RELIEF FROM FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND SOCIAL AND/OR ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE; 2. RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT; 3. ADVANCING PUBLIC EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR, BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN THE LIFE OF THEIR COMMUNITY IN WAYS WHICH ADDRESS AND ALLEVIATE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE; AND 4. PROMOTING THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH.
