Charitable objects
THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE:- 1. FOR THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OF REFUGEES FROM EAST AND WEST AFRICA WHO HAVE SETTLED OR ARE SEEKING TO SETTLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL ADVICE, ASSISTANCE, REPRESENTATION, COUNSELLING AND INFORMATION ON MATTERS SUCH AS ASYLUM AND IMMIGRATION, HEALTH, MONEY, DEBTS, WELFARE BENEFITS, HOUSING, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT. 2. FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO ARE FROM EAST AND WEST AFRICA AND WHO HAVE SETTLED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. 3. FOR THE BENEFIT IN CROYDON AND LAMBETH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA AND IN PARTICULAR FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO ARE FROM EAST AND WEST AFRICA, BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC FOR WHOSE USE THEY ARE PROVIDED.
