TO PROMOTE CRIME PREVENTION/EDUCATION MEASURES WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF TRAFFORD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE POLICE, OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY AGENCIES AND THE PROTECTION OF PEOPLE AND PROPERTY FROM THE PREVENTION OF CRIMINAL ACTS BY: (A) THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF GREATER PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE PREVENTION OF CRIME; AND (B) THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE COMMUNITY.
