1) TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TOWNSPEOPLE OF LYTHAM (AND ITS ENVIRONS) IN THE BOROUGH OF FYLDE, LANCASHIRE AND OF THE NATION AT LARGE, WHATEVER OF THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE MAY EXIST IN OR AROUND LYTHAM (AND ITS ENVIRONS) IN THE FORM OF BUILDINGS OR LANDSCAPE OF PARTICULAR BEAUTY OR HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL OR CONSTRUCTIONAL INTEREST. 3) SUCH OR ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE GENERAL BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE TOWN OF LYTHAM FOR WHICH PROVISION IS NOT MADE FROM PUBLIC RATES AND TAXES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT. 2) TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE VERY MANY FINE TREES AND WOODLAND AREAS WITHIN LYTHAM AND ITS ENVIRONS.
