TO CARRY ON FOR THE BENEFIT OF COMMUNITIES IN NORTH WALES THE PROVISION AND MANAGEMENT FOR THE RELIEF AND CARE OF ELDERLY PERSONS OF ALL CLASSES SUFFERING FROM LONELINESS OR THE DISABILITIES OF OLD AGE OR OTHERWISE BEING IN NEED OF HOUSES AND/OR HOSTELS; AND IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT BUT NOT OTHERWISE TO (I) PURCHASE ERECT MANAGE AND FINANCE THE ACQUISITION EQUIPPING AND OTHER IMPROVEMENT OF HOUSES AND HOSTELS SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR SUCH ELDERLY PERSONS SUITABLE ACCOMMODATION OWNED AND MANAGED OR TO BE OWNED OR MANAGED BY ABBEYFIELD SOCIETIES REGISTERED IN NORTH WALES AS CHARITIES UNDER CHARITY ACTS IN FORCE FOR THE TIME BEING WITH SIMILAR OBJECTS AND WHO OBSERVE WITH BEST PRACTICE AND STANDARDS THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES OF THE ABBEYFIELD MOVEMENT AS SET OUT IN CLAUSE 21 HEREOF, AND TO (II) GRANT OR LEND ON SUCH REASONABLE TERMS AS THE EXECUTIVE MAY AT THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE FINANCIAL RESOURCES EITHER FOR SUCH PURPOSES OR OTHER WISE TO PROVIDE AMENITIES OR SERVICES FOR THE BENEFIT OF OR TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF ELDERLY PERSONS AS AFORESAID EITHER DIRECTLY OR THROUGH SUCH ABBEYFIELD SOCIETIES, AND TO (III) ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT IN NORTH WALES AND SUCH ABBEYFIELD SOCIETIES.
