Activities - how the charity spends its money
The aim of the charity is to relieve hardship and distress through the provision of mediation, advice and other services for parties involved in disputes of any kind. The Service operates throught Norfolk and has premises in Norwich. Most mediators have a social work or legal background and all undergo periodic training. Professional guidance and support is provided for the mediators.

Charitable objects
(1) TO RELIEVE HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF MEDIATION, ADVICE AND OTHER SERVICES FOR PARTIES INVOLVED IN DISPUTES OF ANY KIND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) FOR COUPLES AND THE RELATIVES OF SUCH COUPLES WHOSE RELATIONSHIPS HAVE ENCOUNTERED DIFFICULTIES OR HAVE BROKEN DOWN OR ARE BREAKING DOWN OR MAY BREAK DOWN AND IN SO DOING HELP IN THE SETTLEMENT OF DIFFERENCES IN MATTERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BREAK UP OF RELATIONSHIPS, FOR EXAMPLE (BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION) CONTACT WITH CHILDREN, FINANCIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER PROPERTY MATTERS; (11) TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, WITH A VIEW TO THE PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC ORDER, THE PROVISION OF SERVICES DIRECTED TOWARDS MEDIATION BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS, ORGANISATIONS OR GROUPS INVOLVED OR LIKELY TO BE INVOLVED IN DISPUTES OR INTERPERSONAL CONFLICT.
