TO RELIEVE, EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY, PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE IN CONDITION OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS ARISING THEREFROM BY: I) THE PROVISION OF FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ACCESSORIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS; AND II) THE PROVISION OF TRAINING, ADVICE AND SUPPORT IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE SKILLS TO IMPROVE THEIR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
