FOR THE BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN FROM THE GREAT LAKES REGION OF AFRICA WHO MAY BE RESIDENT IN THIS COUNTRY OR ABROAD, TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS, ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
