(1) TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND DISTRESS OF ANIMALS AND BIRDS WHO ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND PROTECTION IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF A RESCUE AND REHOMING SERVICE AND A SANCTUARY FOR THE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT ACCOMMODATION OF SUCH ANIMALS (11) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ON MATTERS CONCERNING ALL ASPECTS OF ANIMAL WELFARE AND CARE AND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ANIMALS AND HUMANS (111) TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND HARDSHIP OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE LOSS OF THEIR PET ANIMALS AND BEREAVEMENT.
