Activities - how the charity spends its money
ACVA aims to create a culture of lifelong learning for its clients enabling those of African and Caribbean extraction, particularly those over the age of 40, to achieve improvements in general well being, confidence and self-esteem. ACVA will do this through the provision of workshops, training courses and historical activities and the promotion of self-advocacy and healthy lifestyles.

Charitable objects
1. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION ON ALL ASPECTS OF AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN HISTORY AND CULTURE AND TO PROVIDE TRAINING, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION, TO THOSE OVER THE AGE OF 50 IN SKILLS RELATING TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, WRITING AND PRESENTATION AND SELF-ADVOCACY; AND 2. TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FORUMS, PROJECTS, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS.
