1) TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC RESEARCH INTO AND EDUCATION ABOUT THE CAUSES AND TREAT OF ILLNESS SICKNESS DISABILITY HANDICAP INFIRMITY AND DISEASE AND ESPECIALLY UPPER LIMB DISABILITY AND DISEASE PROVIDED THAT THE RESULTS OF ANY SUCH RESEARCH ARE PUBLISHED 2) TO RELIEVE PATIENTS RECEIVING TREATMENT AT THE DERBYSHIRE ROYAL INFIRMARY OR AT ANY HOSPITAL OR ON THEIR DISCHARGE WHO ARE ILL SICK CONVALESCENT DISABLED HANDICAPPED INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
