TO PROMOTE CRIME PREVENTION AND REDUCTION MEASURES IN THE NEATH PORT TALBOT COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL AREA IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE POLICE AND OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY AGENCIES; AND THE PROTECTION OF PEOPLE AND PROPERTY AND THE PREVENTION OF CRIMINAL ACTS BY THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF GREATER PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE COMMUNITY.
