"Florence House is now opened with 15 children. There are 7 Boys and 8 Girls together with the House Parents and Social Worker. There is a new PO Box address in Kenya. The Founder and a number of the Trustees made a few visits to Kenya to witness the opening of the Orphanage. The Website has been created and is almost complete.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECT FOR WHICH THE CHARITY IS ESTABLISHED (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS ("THE OBJECTS") ARE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE ADVANCEMENT OF RELIGION, THE PROTECTION OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS, AND, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 1. THE RELIEF OF THE INHABITANTS OF KENYA WHO ARE SUFFERING HARDSHIP, POVERTY, SICKNESS OR HOMELESSNESS AS A RESULT OF DROUGHT, EARTHQUAKE, FLOOD OR OTHER NATURAL DISASTER OR WHO BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CONDITIONS ARE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE AND HAVING SPECIAL REGARD TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL METHODS IN KENYA; AND 2. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN KENYA IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DOCTRINES AND PRINCIPLES OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH BY MEANS OF BIBLE CLASSES AND SUNDAYS SCHOOLS AND OTHERWISE; AND 3. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND KENYA AND ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD.
