"1. To preserve and protect mental health and wellbeing for people living in the South West of England, through the practice of music therapy and other musical activities that promote health and wellbeing.
2. To advance the education of the public, and in particular service providers and the music therapy profession, into the benefits of music therapy and other musical activities that promote health and wellbeing, for people experiencing emotional or mental distress."
