Charitable objects
1. TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF CHARNOCK RICHARD AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND A LOCAL AUTHORITY'S VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION TO IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION AND FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DECIDE. 2. TO PRESERVE FOR THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND OF THE NATION, THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE THAT MAY EXIST IN AND AROUND THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN BUILDINGS (INCLUDING ANY STRUCTURE OR ERECTION, AND ANY PART OF A BUILDING AS SO DEFINED) OF PARTICULAR BEAUTY OR HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL OR CONSTRUCTIONAL INTEREST AND FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DECIDE.
